Mike McFarland's HoverJet GT |
This is Mike's friend, Tonya, taking readings from her atmospheric weather gauge.
Mike offer me a ride in his craft. We went from the launch area to the lake then through a channel that
was melted and then to another frozen over lake section. This was the view coming back to the lake section where we launched
from. I was brave enough to dig the camera out at this point.
This is Matt getting his son Justin ready to rock and roll.
I believe Justin was the first on the lake, When he went from the launch he struck a twig that grabbed the
skirt of his craft. No biggie though, it was only a small hole.
This is Mike and Matt checking out the damage, not much to report. Let's keep on hovering.
This is Matt and Justin taking Mikes craft out for a tour.
These are the first two crafts I flew. Matt asked me if I had ever flown
one before, then offered up his craft. He showed me the basic controls after he took it down to the ice. Then off I went for
about 15 minutes. What a blast. Thanks Matt.

This is Mike McFarland's craft. It had problems with the ignition but would only let him down within 10
feet of the trailer he brought it in on.
Here we are coming out of the channel and back toward the launch site. Thanks for the cruise, Mike.
This is Terry getting his craft fired up.
This is Terry's son Christopher, heading toward that big icy playground.
Samantha Starbuck watching as Christopher Chapman heads down to
the ice.
This is Terry taking Mike's craft out for a tour. This thing is wicked for doing 360's. It has lots of power
for that.
This is now the days end, all packed up and ready to go home.
Terry let me take his craft out too. This way I could see the difference between the single and dual engine
crafts. I had tons of fun 'cause I was out there for about 25 minutes. Thanks Terry.
