This an aluminum flywheel I made to reduce the weight of the craft. The old flywheel weighed about 23lbs. The aluminum one
weighs in at 9lbs. The ring gear was taken off the old one since it was only interference fit. Once a measurement was taken,
I could machine the aluminum one to the same specs, put it in a freezer for a couple hours then tap the old ring gear on and
presto!

The EA-71 weighs in at 135lbs bare. The starter 7lbs, the alternator 11lbs, the carb I believe was 2lbs.
Taking into account the 23lbs flywheel, the engine would weigh in at 178lbs and that's what they are advertised as.
With the aluminum flywheel it should be in at 164lbs.
